This report of a United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) pilot project, which was carried out during in Khartoum (Sudan) to develop a vehicle for providing access to information on research in progress, describes: (1) the study that led to the conclusion that a national register of research projects was required in Sudan; (2) the collection of Author: J.

A committee of 17 experts was set up as a result of a training workshop held in May and co-organized by UNESCO Khartoum Office and the Sudanese National commission to UNESCO.
